Kristin + Tony
A beautiful day for a beautiful country wedding.
I started my morning off taking detail shots of ALL the pretty things. I swear I could have spent several more hours setting up additional layouts for everything, but unfortunately I had to keep myself on track so I wouldn’t be late to my next location.
When I pulled up to Tony’s parents’ home the first thing I noticed was Tony… outside… NOT dressed. As soon as I hopped out of my truck I hurried him into the house so he and the rest of the guys could get ready. I must say, I LOVED the leather vests. A little classy, a little country, a whole lot of just right. Perfectly paired with their cowboy hats of course.
Later when I arrived at the salon Kristin was the last one getting her hair done. Tony’s mom, Anna, offered me a donut and of course I accepted. Yum. This was also the perfect moment for Kristin’s hairdresser to put the finishing touches on Kristin…a gorgeous hairpiece. So there I was, donut in hand. Stickiest of icing. No time to clean up, so I literally just had to take those photos donut in one hand and camera in the other! I’m sure it was a sight.
Finally, back to the ceremony location, Tony’s grandmother’s, where I had photographed details in the morning. Beautiful arch set up between two wooden fence sections in the back. Headed into the house where all the gals were getting ready. Cleared out a spot in the living room to take Kristin’s putting on the dress photographs. Everyone looked amazing!
First look… one of my favorite parts of the day! followed. After shooing off the attentive bridesmaids the couple shared letters to each other for a quiet moment outside. As soon as Tony saw Kristin for the first time he wrapped her up in the most heartfelt hug. It was beautiful! We proceeded to take a few portraits before the ceremony in which I requested the assistance of Kurt…the tallest groomsman, to help with the veil shots. He did a wonderful job and I got some images with ALL the pretty!
After the ceremony, we took portraits of the bride and groom with their family and then got ready for their hayride to head off to the reception.
One of my top memories from the evening was during their sunset portraits after dinner. We went out back and a little gray cat strolled up. It was very curious of Kristin’s dress and Ed, one of the ushers, had to keep chasing it off. Hilarious to say the least. Toasts, dances, and I was off for the night!
It was such an amazing day and I hope everyone involved felt the same. A beautiful memory for the books!
